Veterinary Surgery of New England (VSNE) has only one full-time employee and that is veterinary technician Lacey Bartholomew. She has multiple responsibilities in our mobile surgical practice and is essential to keeping things running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Her primary role is assisting Dr. Clark in the operating room during surgery. She also works in concert with the veterinary technicians of the host hospital to induce general anesthesia and to perform the preoperative surgical prep on the patient. Another important role for Lacey is that she helps keep track of inventory and ordering of surgical implants and supplies. Her attention to detail is why we always show up at the animal hospital with everything we need for a successful surgery! Lacey was born and raised in California, but has been in New England for over 20 years. In addition to her experience with VSNE, she has also worked in a busy small animal practice and a veterinary emergency hospital. She has been with VSNE since May 2007 and we are thrilled to have her as an integral part of our team.
